Hilton names Stephanie Lopesi as Regional Head of Human Resources for Australasia

Lopesi steps into the role as Hilton expands its regional footprint and doubles down on building a consistent, people-centred culture across its hotels in Australia and New Zealand.
Hilton has strengthened its regional leadership team with the appointment of Stephanie Lopesi as Regional Head of Human Resources for Australasia. A seasoned HR professional with more than 15 years of experience across major global hospitality brands, Lopesi brings a strong record of driving people transformation, cultural development, and talent capability in fast-growing businesses.
Her appointment follows a standout year in her career, with Lopesi recently being named Human Resources Associate of the Year at the 2025 HM Awards—a recognition highlighting her impact on workforce excellence and her commitment to building inclusive, accessible, and high-performing environments.
Speaking on her new role, Lopesi said she was excited to join a brand widely known for investing in its people. “As Hilton continues its expansion, the strength of its culture is more important than ever. I am committed to upholding this standard and ensuring that our people and performance continue to thrive in unison,” she said.
Hilton’s Area Vice President and Head of Australasia, Paul Hutton, welcomed the appointment, calling Lopesi an “authentic cultural leader” whose strategic mindset and people-first approach will support Hilton’s next phase of regional growth. “As we continue to grow our footprint and invest in career pathways for our team members, Stephanie will help ensure Hilton remains a place where people feel supported, valued and inspired,” he said.
Hilton currently operates 47 hotels across six brands in Australasia, supported by a pipeline of 11 new properties under development. The region is preparing for several major openings, including Waldorf Astoria Sydney, DoubleTree by Hilton Auckland Albert Street, Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa, and Hilton Garden Inn Suva.
With Hilton recognised as the #1 World’s Best Workplace for 2025, Lopesi’s appointment reinforces the company’s ongoing focus on nurturing exceptional workplace culture while supporting its continued expansion across the region.
